Musik: Reinhard Fendrich - I am from Austria
After finishing highschool, I moved to Linz, Austria where I attended college at
Kepler University and graduated in '91 with a Masters Degree in Mathematics and Chemistry.
After working for 2 years in Austria, I decided to move to the US to get my MBA at
Emory University. I graduated in '95 specializing in Finance and Marketing and continued my professional career in the US. All my family is still back in Austria within a 1 hour drive of my home town.
I got married on Waikiki Beach, Hawaii to a wonderful man Roland March 2010 and we're having a great time together. In the summer of 2010, we moved from Seattle to Munich where we've been settling in since.
Work
The career is an important aspect in my life. After finishing my MBA, I moved into consulting with IBM and later with Deloitte & Touche. I tested my feet for a year in the start-up world and was recruited by Microsoft in '01 where I've been since. I'm I've been in various roles in the Seattle office but moved to Munich, Germany to run Windows Marketing in Central & Eastern Europe.
Hobbies

In the "old days" I dabbled with horse back riding, tennis, golf, wind surfing, and volleyball. On the more relaxing side I enjoy good food and drink (aka wine) or sipping a coffee at a Starbucks. Sometimes - not often enough - I break out the notes and play the piano. I regularly spend quality time with my cats Clio and GK (unfortunately 2 other ones: Jasmin and Alex passed away early 2011), and you'll find me at potlucks and private parties with friends.
Organizations:
I have been heavily involved with the
Mountaineers organization where I served on the Board of Trustees and on several activity sub-committees.
On the professional level, I was part of the
WSA.
In Germany I am starting to get involved with the
German Alpine Club to continue my passion of Mountaineering.
